My client is one of Australias largest meat wholesalers with a proud history of providing Australian consumers, butchers, supermarkets and the food service industry at large with the highest quality meat products. An opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator has arisen to join their Livestock team.
Reporting to the Livestock Manager your core responsibilities will see you coordinating the delivery of pig carcases into the business. Effective relationship building is essential for this role as your day to day role will see you communicating with our Growers, Abattoirs and third party transport companies. Your strong Procurement skills will see you master this role and provide the fundamental support the Livestock Manager requires.
To be successful for this role you will ideally possess the following:
- Highly organised
- Have an eye for detail
- SAP experience would be advantageous
- Intermediate Excel Skills- acurracy is vital!
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Must be organised and have the ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Not have an issue with working in the meat industry!
