This well respected financial services provider are seeking a talented Junior .NET Developer to join their growing team to further develop and support a bespoke financial markets system. You are a self-motivated technology professional with the passion and enthusiasm to own your own work, take initiative and build strong business relationships.

The role will involve:

• Research, design and development of software based solutions
• Development of existing software solutions by resolving software enhancements
• Maintenance of existing software solutions by resolving software defects
• Work with a multitude of software development languages and technologies
• Work closely with other staff, such as Risk Management and Back Office
• Work as part of a team and also individually to meet the needs of the relevant project / task
• Creating and Interpreting written business requirements and technical specification documents.
• Performing coding to written technical specifications.
• Investigating, analysing and documenting reported defects.
• Performing maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
• Creating, documenting, and implementing unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

The successful candidate:

• Commercial experience as a Software Developer
• Experience with C# .NET and SQL development
• Exposure to Object Oriented Design and UML modelling.
• Exposure to database design principles
• Knowledge and experience in the full SDLC
