Our client, a well recognised Queensland Government Department, is currently seeking a Systems Administrator - Unix/Solaris to join them on an initial 3 month contract with options to continue to extend.

The Solaris Systems Administrator will responsible for the following key tasks;

• Unix systems administration;
• DBMS installation and support;
• Organisation of Review Meetings;
• Producing and maintaining quality systems documentation;
• Provide timely, detailed oral/written advice as required on hardware & security matters;
  and assist with other aspects of facilities management services as directed by the
• Group Leader, ICT Business Systems Services Team 1.
• Activities are to be performed for Departmental application and database Servers.

To be successful for this role you will require the following key experience:

Essesntial:

• Solaris system administration
• Installation and support experience with:
• Ingres DBMS installation
• Oracle DBMS installation
• Web Server administration
• Shell and PERL Scripting languages

Desirable:

• Informix DBMS installation
• Tuxedo Middleware administration
• C programming language
