This is an exciting opportunity for a Cognos Reports Developer to join a high profile project in Melbourne on an initial 6 months contract that is to start in immediately and has a strong possibility of extension for a longer duration.

The primary responsibilities may include:

* Create, modify and customise metadata packages from data warehouse
* Develop and deploy reporting views and reports using Cognos
* Contribute to development of best practices for using Cognos tools
* Mentor other team members in building Cognos skills
* Act as primary contact to Cognos for support and enhancement issues
* Take ownership of Cognos architecture and development approach
* Operate both independently and within a team
* Translate functional requirements into reporting requirements and subsequent reports
* Develop and deploy reporting views and reports using Cognos

The ideal candidate will have:

* A minimum of 6 years of experience
* Cognos 8x or 10x report development experience
* Cognos Framework Manager development experience
* Cognos Audit experience
* Utilities (Electricity or Gas) experience (not mandatory, but highly desirable)
