Our Federal Government Department client is seeking experienced Program Officers to work within the Cybersafety Programs Section which is responsible for managing online consultations with children, teachers and parents on cybersafety issues and managing projects arising from these consultations. As online consultations occur after business hours, the successful applicant will be required to work outside standard business hours, including occasional evening shifts ranging from 1pm to 11pm (AEST). - Facilitate online consultations and liaise with program and technical administrators to ensure that cybersafety and security risks, as well as technical faults are managed quickly.
- Represent Government when engaging in cybersafety consultations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departmental staff in the preparation and presentation of content on the site.
- Undertake administrative work in relation to the cybersafety consultations and the Section.
- Have the capacity and agree to work outside of standard business hours.
The successful applicant will have: - Demonstrated experience in moderating online communities.
- Ability to produce and maintain accurate reports related to those online communities.
- Ability to produce written communications appropriate to an online, interactive medium and which can be readily understood by the intended audience.
- Knowledge of restrictions, risks and challenges to government when participating online.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment outside of standard business hours.
- Knowledge and capacity to apply the APS Values, workplace diversity and occupational health and safety within a team and online environment.
