Kinetic Defence is the leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace industries. Our client is currently looking for an Engineering Manager who is looking for a challenging position with a leading Defence Prime Contractor.

This position will see the successful applicant reporting to the Project Director and the primary purpose of the role is to provide technical leadership and management of all engineering activities associated with design, development and maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall technical management and leadership of engineering including Systems engineering, Marine engineering, Naval Architecture, Safety Engineering, Enviromental Engineering, Logistics and Integrated Support and Configuration Management.
• Prepare engineering and management plans, including technical directives that define the processes, products and deliverables to meet requirements.
• Maintaining the integrity of technical data, documentation, records and data control.
• Manage the technical relationships with the key stake holders.
• Conduct technical inspections, test systems and ensure technical compliance.
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective internal quality auditing program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Teritary Qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Marine or Electrical).
• Computer Skills (MS Office suite) and be familiar with the operation and use of computerised maintenance systems.
• Experience in a Maritime or Naval support environment.
• Understanding of ship systems and design of those systems is desirable.
