Key Responsibilities:
- Leader/ member of the project team responsible for Interior trims and other related systems
- Lead design and development activities of Interior systems by using engineering processes including Boundary diagrams, P diagrams, Interface matrix, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Lead team in problem solving activities as required by using tools like Global 8D, High Mileage Concern Resolution processes and other tools
- Lead team activities to deliver customer satisfaction and program quality targets through collection and analysis of warranty and customer feedback,
- Support Design Team members with identification and application of suitable strategies and features for Interior trims
- Part releases using the corporate part releasing system
- Work with suppliers in managing the project and ensure part delivery meeting cost, quality, timing and attribute requirements required by the program
To be successful for this position, you need to have:
- Qualified with minimum Bachelor level Degree in Engineering
- Proven experience in the Automotive Design & Development Process
- Exposure to injection moulding part design, development and tooling
- Systems Engineering approach to problem solving
- Knowledge of FMEA's, DVP, G8D
- Understanding of customer requirements and expectations
- Strong communication, problem solving and project management skills
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
